As part of House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Ranking Member Darrell Issa’s (R-CA) ongoing investigation into the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now’s (ACORN) lobbying and election activities, the Delaware State Public Integrity Commission responded to a letter of inquiry sent by Issa revealing that “no person has ever registered to represent any of the ACORN affiliates identified in the Committee’s letter” and that after being notified that a “lobbyist must register” they had yet to do so while still engaging in lobbying activities.
The Public Integrity Commission has subsequently sent a certified letter to Delaware ACORN “stating that the law provides that the Public Integrity Commission can refer suspected violations of the lobbying law to the Attorney General for investigation and prosecution. The matter will be on the Commission’s agenda for its December 15, 2009 meeting.”
“After being notified of their failures to adhere to state lobbying laws, Delaware ACORN has ignored state law while still engaging in lobbying activities,” Issa said. “This is another example of ACORN’s blatant disregard for the law. ACORN continues to submit fraudulent filings while failing to abide by the lobbying and election rules while claiming to be a community organization that operates within the boundaries of the law – nothing could be further from the truth.”
Like you I am committed to doing everything I can to preserve the liberties that our founding fathers intended for us to have. I do not want these liberties stolen from my grandchildren on my watch. I'm afraid that we are at a tipping point and I've tried to come up with a tool that visualizes the danger.
I call the tool The Liberty Dial.
I have always chafed at the false claim that simply because I held to the values of our founders that I was a "right wing radical". The Left vs. Right paradigm that is the norm for describing political positions is a sham and is weighted toward allowing the kinds of distortions I cited above. It is a fatally flawed system.

We formed Docs 4 Patient Care not quite 6 months ago. We hoped to make a splash, to make a difference. We wanted people to hear what doctors had to say; real doctors, not plastic, astro-turf jobs.
We have hit the big time. Really.
Docs 4 Patient Care will own the Mike Gallagher show until the end of the year. We are their partner; their embedded sponsor. Salem Communications in general and Mike Gallagher in particular believes in the message that we are delivering to other doctors, to our patients and to the public via the airwaves, town hall meetings, rallies, marches, tea parties, etc. They wish to see us succeed, because if we do, then America wins.
Mike Gallagher is a true patriot. He is brilliant behind the microphone. Those of you who have not tuned into his show must do so ASAP. When you do, you will discover his support for Docs 4 Patient Care. We will be featured in his monologues and on his web site. The most exciting piece of news though, is that I will be Mike's co-host for the entire show for a day in October, November and December. The first show is slated for Thursday, October 29.
There are still many sitting on the sidelines, who have been waiting to see what we could do before donating any money. They wanted to be sure that we were good stewards of their contributions. I hope that this will prove something to those people. Now more than ever, it is imperative to become a strong financial backer of Docs 4 Patient Care. Although this alliance is a partnership, it does cost money to create this. And it "ain't cheap". However, I believe that people will now step up to the plate and support us so that we can carry out all of the other important tasks that we have been coming up with.

We are coming into the election season for 2010. This will be a very important election for our State and especially our Country. Our elected official may not pay attention to our phone calls, email, and rallies, but they will have to listen to us from the voter booth! We have two seats available on the National level. The first is for the Representative to the House and the other is a seat on the Senate. The Senate seat is already gearing up. This is the seat that Mike Castle has declared he will run for. His opponent will likely be Vice President Biden’s son, Beau. This race will probably bring Joe Biden back to Delaware to campaign for his son, as well as probably President Obama. This battle will be so important on many levels. I have heard there is a good possibility that Christine O’Donnell will challenge Mike Castle to be the Republican candidate. This will be decided with a primary that only those registered Republican can vote for. I personally feel Ms. O’Donnell is the more conservative candidate, but I have not personally met her. I need to know your thoughts on how you would like our Tea Party to proceed. I feel the only way we will get our Country back is to elect true leaders that will remember they work for us. To accomplish this goal, I feel, we will all need to become active in the campaign process. I look forward to your advice.
