Yesterday, I had a phone call asking why the Delaware Tea Party had not condemned the reported slurs from DC this pass weekend. I must admit that it had not occurred to me to condemn or apologize for something I had not done which had happened in a city that I was not even in.
I have not been able to find a video showing any of the reported incidents although I have seen two videos that do not include any slurs. I found several blogs reporting the incident, but I found it ironic that those blogs have condemned the whole Tea Party movement by using slurs of their own. In one breath they paint the picture of the entire crowd shouting slurs and in the next they call the group “teabagger” which is also a slur. I was not there, so I can not comment on if the incident occurred. I do know that I have never seen anyone at any Tea Party rally or protest act in that fashion.
The Delaware Tea Party certainly does not approve of slurs towards anyone. We feel these types of attacks are not only hurtful, but are made only to intimidate, silence, and discredit the people they are tossed at. We must remember that we are all Americans and people who use slurs really only belittle themselves.

This smells like a scam. The "racist" tea party theme seems to be a neat little attack and an easy way to misdirect. Remember Ellie Light.
